Elevation and Elegance

Wines with Altitude

Our aim is to grow high-quality grapes and produce honest, artisanal wines that respect tradition and reflect place. And for us, there is no better place to do this than in the mountains of the Serranía de Ronda where elevation plays an important role in producing wines with unique freshness and elegance.

Our excitement for wine starts, first and foremost, with the experience around wine.

A night of tapas with friends, long Sunday afternoon lunches with family - wine is always paired best with good company. These simple pleasures fuel our desire to make rich, flavorful wines that not only complement food but, more importantly, promote fellowship.

Great wines COME FROM GREAT GRAPES

IT STARTS IN THE VINEYARD

The best days are those spent outside tending to the individual needs of each vine. We strive to be responsible with our cultivation methods, always keeping in mind the health of our vineyard and of our surroundings. Our dry-farming approach at high altitude helps us grow healthy and ripe fruit unique to the site. And in the cellar, we act as a guide with the hope of creating wines that are a true expression of the vineyard in that particular year.

Location

Serranía de Ronda

Our farm is beautifully situated at 750 meters (2,600 ft) altitude in the mountain ranges of Ronda. Hot, dry, summer days, contrasted with cool nights provide ideal conditions for grape growing. With views of the Roman ruins known as “Old Ronda” or “Acinipo” that predate the birth of Christ, we are reminded daily of the area’s rich history and tradition of winemaking and agriculture.

A 20 minute drive from our vineyard you will find the historic and charming town of Ronda, of which both Ernest Hemingway and Orson Welles spoke so romantically.

"A man is not from where he was born but where he chooses to die.” - Orson Welles

Ronda was chosen. He wanted to be a “Rondeño” forever. And His ashes were spread here in the Recreo San Cayetano.
